چکیده

ABSTRACT: Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a multifactorial allergic disease associated with immune dysfunction and abnormal skin barrier. Several immunological mediators play role in its pathogenesis. Such molecules are produced by the activation of T helper lymphocytes (Th) through polarization to Th1 and/or Th2, which contributes different lesion patterns. Acute lesions mediated an Th2 cytokine axis, clinically induces erythema pruritus. Conversely, chronic injuries mixed response Th1/Th2 cytokines occurs, leading hyperpigmented lichenified skin. The clinical understanding these patterns mode action immunomodulators crucial for best management patient. In this context, review discussed immunomodulatory drugs dogs suggested therapeutic protocol based on phenotype. Based evidences showed review, it considered appropriate use that target spectrum related phenotype cAD.
